Two Brothers and a Truck

What Is Included in Full-Service Moving?

Full-service moving includes almost every physical task of your move. The crew packs your belongings, protects and loads the furniture, drives everything to your new place, then unloads it and puts it back together. You make the decisions while experienced movers do the heavy work. At Two Brothers and a Truck, Scott and Mark have run a licensed and insured Sarasota moving company since 2014. This page explains exactly what our full-service moves include.

Who Does the Work on Your Full-Service Move

Two Brothers and a Truck is a licensed and insured Florida moving company (FLA.IM#2428) based in Sarasota. Scott and Mark spent years supporting moving businesses across Southwest Florida before they opened their own company in July 2014. Their goal is simple: give every customer an honest quote and handle every item as if it were theirs.

Our full-service customers include homeowners, renters, seniors, college students and local businesses. We serve communities across the Gulf Coast, including Bradenton, Venice, Lakewood Ranch and North Port, and we handle long-distance moves anywhere in Florida. Unbelievable level of attention to detail. Mark and Scott wrapped almost every piece of furniture for the move in blankets and plastic wrap. Their pricing is reasonable and I really enjoyed spending the day with them. Total “whistle while you work” experience. These guys are a positive force in the universe!

Mark and his brother have helped us move twice in two years. They're there on time, have quality equipment, are attentive to keeping the furniture and possessions protected from damage, and they're physically strong. Hopefully we won't have to move again, but if we do we would work with them again for sure.

Full-Service Moving vs. Partial-Service Moving

Full service means the crew handles the entire physical job. Partial service, sometimes called a hybrid or labor-only move, means you take on part of the work to keep costs down.

Many customers mix the two. Our packing services include partial packing, so our crew can handle a few rooms or your fragile items while you pack the rest yourself. Another option is renting your own storage unit and booking us to load the storage unit now and unload it into your new home later. We also offer loading and unloading help if you rent your own moving truck.

The real trade-off is time. Packing a full home yourself can take several evenings and weekends, while our crew handles it as part of the job. If your calendar is already full, the added labor is often worth it. Our page on whether movers can pack and unpack your entire house goes deeper.

What Full-Service Movers Usually Don’t Include

Even complete service has limits, and it helps to know them early. Keep medications, jewelry, important paperwork and phone chargers with you instead of on the truck. Pack a small bag of essentials for your first night as well.

Major appliances such as a refrigerator or washer should be disconnected before moving day, and a refrigerator should also be defrosted and dried out. If you are unsure whether an item is safe to move, such as a propane tank or a can of gasoline, ask us ahead of time.

Need a place to keep things between homes? We’ll point you toward secure storage nearby and handle the loading on both ends. Junk removal can also be added to your moving quote for items you don’t want to bring along.

How Much Does Full-Service Moving Cost?

Two Brothers and a Truck charges based on the hours of work completed and the services performed. The amount you are moving and the distance to your new home both affect the price. Added services such as packing or junk removal are part of the total as well. Our quotes are detailed and upfront, so you see the full price with no hidden fees.

Access matters too. A second-floor walk-up with a piano takes longer than a ground-floor condo with an elevator, and the quote reflects that. Our page on how moving companies calculate costs walks through the math, and our article on full-service mover costs in Sarasota covers local pricing.

Is Full-Service Moving Worth It?

It usually is if you are short on time or moving a full household with heavy furniture. It may not be if you own very little and have friends with a pickup. Protection matters too. Our crew inventories your belongings, and the company is fully licensed and insured. Ask any mover about valuation coverage before you sign, and use our checklist for licensed and insured movers to compare companies.

Full-Service Moving in Sarasota and Across Florida

Gulf Coast moves come with their own challenges. Condo buildings on Longboat Key and Siesta Key often set rules for moving times and elevator use, and our team works directly with building management to follow them. Traffic and summer weather can also affect a moving day. If either one changes your schedule, we let you know right away.

We run full-service moves in Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, North Port and Englewood, and we help customers move to and from any city in Florida. We also offer weekend moving dates every week. Retirees downsizing to a condo, families moving into a bigger house, students heading to a dorm and offices relocating over a weekend all get the same careful crew.

Not sure what to ask a mover first? Our article on what movers do on a full-service job is a good place to start.

What Happens During a Full-Service Move

First, we give you a free estimate. We visit your home or meet by video call to learn what you are moving and what needs extra care. Then we send you a clear estimate and plan for your move.

Next, we pack your home if you book packing. The crew brings the supplies and wraps your belongings before boxing them. Each box is labeled so unpacking is easier.

On moving day, we protect and load your furniture. Furniture is blanketed and stretch-wrapped, and large pieces are taken apart when needed. We load everything securely so nothing shifts during the drive.

At your new home, we unload and set up. The crew places items in the rooms you choose and reassembles the furniture we took apart. If you added unpacking, we help you unpack and organize your new space.

After the move, you can still reach us. Your questions go to a real local team member on the phone, not a call center.

For an hour-by-hour look, read what actually happens on moving day, then use our tips on how to prepare for movers the week before.

Full-Service Moving Questions We Hear Most

Is white glove moving the same as full-service moving?

White glove moving is a step beyond standard full service, and it often adds custom crating for art or antiques. Standard full service covers packing, loading, transport and furniture reassembly. Our crew has moved pianos and pool tables with the right equipment, so ask us about any item that needs special handling.

Do full-service movers bring boxes and packing supplies?

Yes, we bring the boxes, tape, bubble wrap and pads your move requires. Let us know what you need when you book. Our guide to moving packing supplies explains what’s included and what you pay for.

Do you offer weekend moves?

Yes, Two Brothers and a Truck offers weekend moving dates every week. We recommend booking a weekend move as far in advance as possible.

How far ahead should I book a full-service move?

For summer moves, we recommend booking two to three weeks ahead. The earlier you reserve a date, the more choices you have. We also offer same-day and next-day moves when our schedule allows, so call even if your move is coming up soon.

Can I book full service for only part of my move?

Yes, we can pack just a few rooms or only your fragile items, or you can skip packing entirely and book just the loading and transport. We tailor every quote to the services you choose.

Is a full-service moving estimate free?

Yes, estimates are free with no obligation, and we can do them in your home or by video call. Fill out the quote form on this page or call 941-320-1784.

Do you offer moving discounts?

Yes, we offer discounts for first responders and veterans. Mention it when you request your quote.
